Western philosophy emphasizes autonomy under law. Eastern traditions emphasize non-duality, balance, and the dissolution of illusion. Both converge: without grounding, scale becomes delusion; without law, freedom collapses; without balance, action destabilizes. The Foundation synthesizes these traditions into engineering principles. Mindfulness, in this context, is continuous awareness of state relative to truth.
