He served as a senior partner at McKinsey & Company where he led the firm’s global technology and analytics practice for industrial sectors — shaping corporate strategy for Fortune 500 firms confronting digital disruption.
After McKinsey, he co-founded Arundo Analytics, deploying edge-to-cloud machine learning for complex physical asset ecosystems, now operating globally across Palo Alto, Oslo, and industrial centers worldwide.

Shoichiro Tanaka is a Japanese technology entrepreneur, investor, and founder of TANAAKK, a Tokyo-based company focused on software infrastructure, digital value chains, and Growth-as-a-Service platforms. He began his entrepreneurial career in 2006 and later formalized the company in 2013, building a technology and investment platform spanning cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, and data-driven industrial systems.
Tanaka has held leadership roles across technology development, venture investment, and product strategy, with experience spanning Asia, the United States, and Europe. His work integrates software architecture, capital allocation, and operational scaling to support high-growth industrial innovation.
